Court lets Joby's trade-secret claim against Archer proceed
A ruling in the trade-secrets fight between eVTOL rivals Joby Aviation and Archer Aviation, reported June 18, allowed Joby's core misappropriation claim - tied to a confidential real-estate developer partnership - to move forward while dismissing several broader claims and throwing out all of Archer's counterclaims alleging fraud and import misclassification. U.S. Magistrate Judge Susan van Keulen issued the order in the Northern District of California, giving both sides limited windows to amend their claims. Joby first sued Archer and a former Joby employee in November 2025 over allegedly stolen confidential information.
