AST SpaceMobile sets August launch for BlueBirds 11-13
AST SpaceMobile announced on June 23 that its next three BlueBird satellites - 11, 12 and 13 - are targeted to launch aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 from Cape Canaveral in the first half of August, continuing the cadence set by the June 17 launch of BlueBirds 8, 9 and 10. The company said the satellites are in final preparations for shipment and that production is underway through BlueBird 37 at a rate of up to six satellites per month at its Midland, Texas facility. The buildout advances AST's push toward continuous space-based cellular broadband coverage.
