Atlas (Electric)

Overview
Enterprise humanoid robot designed for factories and warehouses. The all-electric Atlas is Boston Dynamics' commercial mobile-manipulation platform for part sequencing, machine tending, and heavy-object handling, built for manufacturability, serviceability, and continuous operation. The production version has 56 degrees of freedom with fully rotational joints, a 2.3 m reach, and the strength to lift up to 50 kg (110 lb).
Production version unveiled at CES on January 5, 2026 and now in production at Boston Dynamics' Boston headquarters. The entire 2026 production run is committed to Hyundai's RMAC and Google DeepMind, with additional customers planned for early 2027. May 18, 2026 demos show whole-body heavy-object manipulation (~50 lb mini-fridge in public, 100+ lb internally) trained via GPU-parallel RL with zero-shot sim-to-real transfer.
