UK watchdog forces NHS to soften Palantir data-platform claims
The UK Office for Statistics Regulation said NHS England will revise claims on its website about the effectiveness of Palantir's Federated Data Platform, after concluding the reported performance gains could not establish that the software itself caused them. The intervention followed a freedom-of-information finding that nearly a third of NHS trusts using the platform were performing fewer patient procedures than before it went live, along with mounting pressure from MPs on the Commons health committee. Palantir shares fell about 6% amid the scrutiny and valuation concerns ahead of its second-quarter earnings in early August.
