Microsoft and Mistral expand partnership with Europe AI deal
Microsoft and Mistral AI announced a major expansion of their strategic partnership, underpinned by a new multibillion-dollar agreement to build out AI infrastructure in Europe, including thousands of Nvidia Vera Rubin GPUs in European data centers. Mistral's models - including open-weight Mistral Medium 3.5 and its OCR 4 document model - will be available across Microsoft Foundry, Copilot Studio and Azure, with cloud, customer-controlled and fully disconnected deployment options aimed at regulated sectors such as financial services, healthcare and manufacturing.
