BYD produced its 17 millionth new-energy vehicle on July 8, just 82 days after reaching 16 million, with the milestone car a newly launched Seal 08 flagship sedan. BYD says the Seal 08, which went on sale July 2 from 196,900 yuan (about $28,950), has already logged more than 100,000 firm orders. The accelerating milestone cadence underscores the pace of BYD's output as it pushes further into overseas markets.
