Anthropic signs $19B, 20-year Kentucky data-center lease
TeraWulf said on July 6 that Anthropic signed a 20-year lease for a purpose-built AI infrastructure campus at TeraWulf's Justified Data site in Hawesville, Kentucky, a deal expected to generate roughly $19 billion in contracted revenue. The campus will host about 401 megawatts of critical IT load, with initial capacity slated to come online in the second half of 2027 and the full build ramping by early 2028. TeraWulf shares jumped about 17%; alongside the lease it agreed to sell its 50.1% stake in the Abernathy, Texas data-center joint venture to a Fluidstack-led group for roughly $530 million.
