Waymo and Uber end three-year Phoenix robotaxi partnership
Waymo and Uber confirmed on June 29 that they have ended their robotaxi partnership in Phoenix, where Waymo rides are no longer bookable through the Uber app. The intentionally limited pilot, launched in 2023, peaked at just over a dozen vehicles, which Waymo has folded back into its own Phoenix fleet that continues serving riders via the Waymo app. The two firms still collaborate in Austin and Atlanta, and Uber said it plans to name a new Phoenix partner soon.
