Waymo registers German subsidiary in robotaxi expansion
Waymo has registered a German entity, Waymo Germany GmbH, signaling the next phase of its European robotaxi push, according to filings reported June 25-26. Incorporated May 13 and entered in Munich's commercial register on June 15, the subsidiary is chartered to offer autonomous ride-hailing and to support third-party operators, with its business address at Google's Munich campus and job postings for test drivers and vehicle trainers already appearing in Berlin and Munich. No German launch city or date has been announced; the move extends Waymo's international footprint alongside planned services in London and Tokyo.
